Siobhan Towey, L.M.T.

My objective as a Massage Therapist and for DUMBO Wellness is to create relaxing, client-centered, therapeutic, and healing massage treatments to keep N.Y.C.’s inhabitants moving through their daily lives with more balance and fewer aches and pains.  Every massage is a custom-created session using a combination of Relaxation, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, or Shiatsu techniques to address the specific needs and concerns of the client. I have been in practice as an L.M.T. for 20 years and received training at the Swedish Institute in NYC.

His aim is to work with the client to address their goals and to help rebalance and re-energize the body in a therapeutic and relaxing way. He has worked in a lot of diverse environments including being a therapist for professional tennis players at the US Open, 5-star hotels such as the Mandarin Oriental and the Four Seasons, and wellness/medical settings. King is certified in perinatal massage, head/neck issues including TMJ syndrome, and Thai massage. He is an avid student and reader having gone to Stuyvesant High School and graduating with Honors with a BA in both Psychology and Media Studies. He practices guitar and bass as much as possible and tries to practice kindness, gratitude, and mindfulness meditation daily. The latter three have made him a much happier person. Feel free to ask him any questions. He believes good, open, and authentic communication is the basis for any good relationship including working ones. For instance, please tell him if you don't want to listen to spa music. He will very happily oblige!
